Season Trends: AW17
The change in season is here, and with it comes new styles and trends and it may be time to try and refresh your decor to keep in line with these changing styles. Don’t worry, were not asking you to go all out and completely overhaul your living area, but you can inject splashes of colour here and there which will certainly update the feel of any room.
We’ve been keeping an eye on recent design and fashion festivals as well as prestigious trend reports to see whats keeping interiors hot this Autumn/Winter season. Amongst others we’ve gone ahead and focused on two main colour palettes that are in fashion this season which also happen to work together and compliment each other very well.
Pink continues to be the colour of choice on and off the catwalk, and its a particular shade thats on trend right now. The shade sometimes referred to as ‘Millennial pink’ also known as ’Scandi Pink’ can fall anywhere on the spectrum between beige and peach but is always a softer, more neutral tone which has seemed to free pink of its girly connotations associated with more vibrant shades such as ‘Hot Pink’ therefore appealing to both men and women explaining its continuing success.
It’s easy to introduce a rose hue to your home, and thats with a highlight. It’s a subtle addition that makes a big impact. Think a pink cushion on your sofa or an accent chair in your bedroom.

Precious metals such as Gold, Bronze and Copper hues are all well and truly in, even Brass, and they look to be here for the foreseeable future and will really compliment the soft pink trend, below is an example of them both working together in harmony. Metals have replaced neutrals in interiors and the most current of these is copper. Lovely and warming, statement making and bold, it works on everything.
Marble and brass is the dynamic duo of right now, and the foreseeable future. With these traditional materials are being restyled for the contemporary home, it’s easy to add a touch of luxe to your home, you may remember these Iris tables (below) from our skinny linear feature from last season, which combine the two and stay on trend for this winter, a real must have.
These regal palettes work great as accent pieces such as lampshades, clocks, vases and table legs. This makes them very easy to integrate into a current room scheme so you don’t have to break the bank to get up to date. For those of you fond of forward planning, these tones will look great around Christmas time too!
